What happens after you upload your quote to Promopack: the first 48 hours

Clock, white box and blank sheet on a table

When you upload your quote to Promopack, we receive it, check that we have the details we need, analyze it with our industrial printing partner and send you a comparison within 48 business hours. If we can cut it by at least 10% with the same quality, materials, finishes and print run, you get an offer. If not, we tell you and you pay nothing.

What happens in the first minutes after you upload your quote to Promopack?

When you submit the quote form with your PDF or photo, the Promopack team receives your request. At that point we do three things:

  1. We open a file. We link your contact details, your company and the attachment.
  2. We check that the document is readable. If the photo is blurry or a page is missing, we ask you for it again right away.
  3. We identify the type of product. Boxes, folding cartons, bags, labels, shipping boxes or rigid packaging, so the review goes to the right person.

The 48-business-hour clock starts once we have enough information to work with. If something important is missing, we ask straight away so no time is lost.

What do we do in the first 24 hours?

This is the analysis phase. We read the quote and extract the full specification: dimensions, material, paper weight, inks, finishes, print run and delivery terms. Then we look at what the document doesn’t make clear, for example whether the cutting die is included or shipping is billed separately.

If there are questions we can’t answer from the document, we email you short, specific questions. Some common examples:

  • Is the print run always the same, or does it vary per order?
  • Is there a final artwork file or a photo of the current product?
  • Is there a single delivery address, or several drops?
  • Are the finishes mentioned the ones the product actually has?

The more answers you give us, the tighter the offer. You don’t need everything to get started, but it helps.

What happens in the technical review?

Once the specification is clear, we pass it to the industrial printing partner to confirm it can be manufactured as is and whether there’s room to improve without changing quality. This is where we find out if 10% is achievable. What we look at:

  • Use of material and of the press sheet.
  • The most suitable printing method for that run.
  • Make-ready costs that can be reduced or avoided.
  • Consolidating deliveries to bring shipping costs down.

None of this comes at the expense of quality: if saving money meant changing the material or a finish, we present it as an alternative and you decide. We explain the full method in how Promopack works.

What do you get at the end of the 48 hours?

You get one of two answers, always in writing:

  • A side-by-side offer. With the same specification as your quote and a price at least 10% lower, broken down so you can check it.
  • A note that we can’t improve it. With a short explanation of why. In that case you pay nothing and you gain a useful fact: your current price is competitive.
When What we do What you get
On submission We open the file and check the document Confirmation of receipt
First few hours We read and standardize the specification Specific questions if anything is missing
Halfway through Technical review with the printing partner Nothing to do on your side, except answer questions
Within 48 business hours We prepare the comparison An offer, or a note that we can’t improve it

How can you speed up the reply?

The maximum is 48 business hours, but some things depend on you and make the review faster and more accurate:

  • Upload the complete quote, with every page and the delivery terms, not just the first sheet.
  • Say whether the price includes the cutting die, shipping and VAT, so we always compare like for like.
  • Attach a photo or the current artwork file if you have it to hand.
  • Reply quickly if we ask you something: every open question pauses the review.
  • If you have several items, tell us which is the priority so we start there.

None of this is mandatory, but it saves back-and-forth. A clear, complete quote usually leads to a tighter offer and fewer questions.

What can you do with the reply?

The reply doesn’t commit you to anything. You have several options:

  1. Accept the offer and move to production.
  2. Order a physical sample and pay only its cost, to check the quality before deciding. Details on our samples page.
  3. Use it to negotiate with your current supplier.
  4. Turn it down at no cost and without explanations.

If you accept, the process continues with confirming the details, production at the industrial partner and delivery to the agreed address. Production and delivery times depend on the product and the run, and we agree them with you before confirming the order.

If you want to see how much you can save, upload your quote on our quote page. You can also email comercial@promopack.net or call 93 720 55 00.

An honest reminder: Promopack isn’t the best route if you need just a few units. If you have no previous quote, you can request one from scratch, and if you want to design the packaging, Addicional designs it.

Frequently asked questions

Are the 48 hours calendar hours or business hours?

They are 48 business hours, so weekends and public holidays don’t count. The clock starts once we have enough information to work on the quote.

Will sales reps keep calling me?

We only contact you to clear up questions about your quote and to send you the reply. The review doesn’t oblige you to buy or to stay in touch if you don’t want to.

What if my quote has several different items?

We review them all. Each item is analyzed separately and the offer may differ by product. If we can’t improve the price on one of them, we tell you and you keep that one with your current supplier.

Paying too much for your packaging?

Upload your printer’s latest quote and within 48 business hours we’ll tell you how much you can save with the same quality, materials and run. No cost, no commitment. Request your quote →
